6. PRAYER IN TIME OF SICKNESS.

O GOD, who do not allow us to suffer and be afflicted, so that we may have more time to think of You, that our spirit may be detached from earthly pleasures and comforts, that we may offer some reparation for our sins and for those of he world, grant us to accept sickness as a gift from Your loving hand. I abandon myself to Your guidance, for You know better than I what is good for me. Give me patience and peace in surrender to Your holy Will.
